Interviewee: Yes, we have cheap tours visiting the market from June to August, and expensive/rich tours coming here from November to December.

Me: What do you mean by ‘cheap tour’ and ‘rich tour’?

Interviewee: Cheap tours are tourists who buy nothing in the market, just sightsee. But rich tours [are tourists who] buy lots of souvenirs, [spending] up to 10,000 baht (about £232.00).

Me: How do you know the difference between these two groups?
